The Opportunity
Due to an internal career move, we are seeking a talented Injury Lead to join our team.
Reporting into the Regional Injury Manager, you will support the implementation of an integrated injury management strategy at a site level & help the site teams in achieving a step change in their Injury Management and Workers Compensation performance. You will focus on early return to work and appropriate support for team members with injuries.
This role provides development opportunities to collaborate across a National team and the broader Woolworths Group.
Key duties include
- Developing and maintaining a business culture which supports the proactive management of work related injuries
- Implementing workers’ compensation policies and procedures in accordance with the relevant legislation
- Managing the site’s early intervention program and workers compensation claims
- Develop and coordinate return to work plans, rehabilitation plans and liaise with treatment providers to promote recovery
- Prepare quarterly analysis on claims, reporting on themes and trends in the portfolio
- Maintain a strong and professional relationship with key stakeholders working with them as the main point of contact
Who we’re looking for
As our Injury Lead, you will play a valuable role in the Primary Connect team where you will be rewarded with a competitive salary package and the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally in a supportive team environment.
To be successful you will demonstrate significant experience in a similar position or possess extensive operations and leadership experience as well as:
- Knowledge of injury management concepts, claims management procedures and relevant legislative requirements in the area of your control
- Demonstrated skills in process development, consultation, education, implementation, support, evaluation and reporting
- Ability to decipher medical reports and identify potential common law risk mitigation strategies
- Ability to interpret legislation relating to workers' compensation administration or willing to learn
- Ability to manage confidential information and situations in a sensitive manner
- Demonstrated experience in Return-to-work or injury management
- Current certified Return to Work Certificate
