The Opportunity
To be a key player and subject matter expert for Primary Connect, in all matters of food safety standards & compliance. As our Risk and Compliance Specialist, you will be the go-to for these matters for internal partners & external stakeholders. Working in a passionate and supportive team, time will be spent building relationships as well as:
- Oversee the system of work supporting the Primary Connect Quality and Excellence program (including maintaining all relevant food safety procedures, forms, and guides)
- Ensure that all relevant DCs, Transport Centres, and 3PLs maintain certification to the appropriate standard for Woolworths Group & Primary Connect services
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of the Quality and Excellence standard for Primary Connect and proactively manage risk in this space
- Liaise with the external certifying body on audit schedules for Primary Connect-operated facilities, audit proposals, relevant audit reports, non-conformances and trends
- Develop audit reports, external document templates & information related to food safety compliance on a company portal
About you
As the Risk and Compliance Specialist, you will be able to work independently & utilise your own decision-making skills. This role will entail strong stakeholder engagement & presentation skills. You will have:
- Distribution centre/Transport operations supply chain background
- Experience in developing HACCP tables, analysis plans and risk assessments
- Knowledge of GFSI standards and / company funded standards being implemented and executed into operations
- Experience in compliance-related fields and the ability to risk assess and write procedures
- Strong and effective communicator (verbal and written)
- Strong organisational skills with a critical-thinking mindset
- Ability to generate information for stakeholders & management via reporting and dashboards
- Ability to work with third-party partners to understand business assurance systems, requirements, and compliance
