WooliesX have made a significant investment in their automated fulfilment capability. This role will be responsible for the day to day operation of our first ever large scale automated Customer Fulfilment Centre.
This role will sit within our eCom Customer Fulfilment and Operations team and will be responsible for leading the Operations, Systems, Optimisation, Continuous Improvement, Facilities and Capability teams within the Auburn Customer Fulfilment Centre
About the opportunity
- Oversee and influence all aspects of the customer fulfilment centre to optimise the customer, team, and productivity outcomes
- Lead by example in ensuring a Safety First mentality for all team members who work at Auburn Customer Fulfilment Centre.
- Support, build and execute strategy implementation plans to achieve ecommerce objectives
- Facilitate a culture of performance and continuous improvement
- Understand and implement drivers for achieving best in class outcomes for automated fulfilment operations
- Ensure inventory management principles and processes are maintained
- Accountable for the site P&L and all site KPI’s
You’ll demonstrate your impact by:
- Building and developing a high-performing customer focused operations team, providing coaching and development opportunities to support team growth and success.
- Having a good understanding of automation, engineering and reliability principles
- Developing and implement processes and strategies to achieve operational excellence
- Showcasing a deep understanding of online eCommerce operations, retail operations and logistics fundamentals
About you:
We’re looking for a results-oriented leader who is passionate about safety, teamwork, and eCom fulfilment excellence. Ideally you’ll have demonstrated experience for leading large scale teams and operations within an automated distribution or manufacturing facility / environment.
You’ll also have the following:
- Proven track record of delivering operational excellence in complex and matrixed organisation
- Deep understanding of safety protocols and risk management, with a commitment to ensuring that safety is embedded in all aspects of operations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A demonstrated ability to utilise both team feedback and analytics to deliver continuous improvement.
