The impact you'll have:

At the Workplace Injury Commission, we've helped thousands of injured workers and employers to resolve their disputes and move forward with their lives. We're a robust Victorian Government statutory authority that's making an impact.

As we continue an exciting chapter of growth, we need you to join us as a Strategy & Client Insights Analyst, playing a key role in shaping organisational strategy through evidence-based insights. In this impactful role, you'll analyse client feedback, performance data and emerging trends to identify meaningful insights, understand their implications and provide evidence-based recommendations that inform planning, investment decisions and service improvement initiatives.

Partnering with senior leaders across the organisation, you'll develop executive-ready reporting, performance dashboards and strategic insights that support decision-making at the highest levels. You'll also lead initiatives that strengthen client feedback mechanisms and ensure the experiences of injured workers and other stakeholders are reflected in how we plan, prioritise and deliver services.

We're seeking an analyst who excels at moving beyond reporting to discover the patterns and stories in the data. You'll enjoy bringing together diverse sources of information, identifying key themes, and translating them into clear narratives that support strategic decision-making.

Who we're looking for:

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Highly developed communication, synthesis and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex quantitative and qualitative information into clear narratives, actionable insights and meaningful implications.
    • Advanced skills across the data and analytics toolkit (Excel, PowerBI, SQL, BI tools, statistics, data modelling)
    • Demonstrated expertise in management reporting, data analysis, and visualisation, with a track record of informing strategic and operational decision-making.
    • Advanced skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis, including scenario modelling, trend analysis, and evidence synthesis.
    • Experience in integrating client and stakeholder insights into planning, delivery, and continuous improvement processes.

For further information, please refer to our position description which you can access through our careers site.

Resolution matters. And so do you.

We're a stable, purpose-driven organisation that offers you meaningful work, a welcoming and vibrant team culture, and a range of benefits, including:

  • Competitive remuneration, plus generous allowances and reimbursements for study, wellbeing and home-office working.
  • More leave when you need it most - flexible leave arrangements tailored to you.
  • Access to our 24/7 holistic mental health and wellbeing program for you and your family.
  • A progressive and supportive work environment with experienced leaders who are invested in you.

Here are some of the things we hope you'll love about working with us:

  • Help Victorians find a way forward

As a Strategy & Client Insights Analyst, you'll play a vital role in supporting WIC to help injured workers and employers overcome some of the most challenging times of their lives.

  • Find support and relationships that count

Respect is a key value here. We trust and empower you to be your best self, at work and home.

  • Respect today, shape tomorrow
