Role Purpose
About this opportunity
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Engineer to ensure maximum performance of our tram fleet in terms of safety, reliability, availability, and maintainability.
Reporting to the Technical Manager – Low Floor Fleet, the role involves:
Supporting Fleet Managers in improving reliability, availability, maintenance and safety of the related fleet types
Analysing data and report performance indicators such as failure trends, repeat offenders and faults post servicing
Completion of complex root cause analysis and incident investigations
Developing and maintaining a Minimum Operating Standard
Assisting with the development of corrective and preventative maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guides
Supporting annual identification and quantification of risks in order to complete the risk register (ARM).
About you
Ideally you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree qualifications in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechatronics or Mechanical)
- Experience (5yrs+) in rolling stock performance analysis and maintenance processes and procedures
- Solid knowledge of formal engineering change processes and reliability improvement processes
- Knowledge of maintenance optimisation, Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Condition Based Maintenance (CBM)
- A high level of computer literacy and data analysis skills
- Proven ability to prepare reports and carry out investigations
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to develop maintenance plans, while focusing on Life Cycle Costs (LCC).
