About this opportunity
We are looking for two people who are passionate about real time systems, who can help enhance the future of the Yarra Trams operation of the monitored / controlled electrical network, while also supporting our current maintenance and renewal projects. Reporting to the Supervisor, SCADA the tasks for this role may involve:
- Support all aspects of the current renewals plans underway, and to be a key member of the future changes to the Yarra Trams SCADA systems and networks.
- Conduct investigation of SCADA system faults and design defects of a complex nature
- Provide technical reports to identify the problems and the implementation of solutions
- Plan and undertake preventative and reactive maintenance
- This will be an initial 18-month fixed term appointment, with the potential to be extended.
About you
Ideally you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering and/or significant proven experience, relevant to this discipline
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Senior-Level control systems technician with expertise in multiple facets of SCADA and control systems
- Sound knowledge of SCADA systems with proven experience in infrastructure contexts
- Proven experience in testing SCADA systems
- Proven experience in the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including system specifications
- Experience in managing stakeholder and user relationships
- Knowledge of and experience in preventative and reactive maintenance, including planning and delivering these works
- Understanding of electrical, instrumentation and control principles, including the ability to read and understand system and network diagrams
- Provide remote support for 24/7 field incidents as required
- Experience with Logica/CGI master station SCADA and RTU applications, configuration, and testing would be well regarded but not essential
