About the Role
Zenith Energy owns, operates, and maintains power stations in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. The Power Station Operator Maintainer (Mechanical) reports to the Power Station Manager and works within a small team.
This role is based at Tanami on an even-time roster of 2/2, with FIFO (fly-in, fly-out) arrangements from Brisbane or Darwin.
The Power Station Operator Maintainer is responsible for executing both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks on the equipment within Zenith Power Stations. The position ensures that maintenance tasks are performed to the highest quality standards, thereby ensuring equipment reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain reciprocating engines and power generation equipment.
- Conduct routine and breakdown maintenance.
- Repair power generation systems.
- Perform fault finding and troubleshooting.
- Analyse power generation equipment, systems, and associated auxiliary equipment.
- Prepare and maintain internal and external reports and recommend continuous improvements.
- Attend to the power station after hours while on-site to address faults and breakdowns.
- Raise and maintain work orders and purchase requests in the ERP system.
About You
As the Power Station Operator Maintainer (Mechanical), you should bring the following experience, knowledge, and skills to the role:
- Mechanical Trade Qualifications
- 2-3 years of post-trade experience
- Experience in engine rebuilds, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
- Strong report writing skills
- Computer literacy
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with clients in a professional manner
- Competency in using Pronto CMMS or a similar system (desirable)
- FIFO remote site experience is highly regarded but not essential
- Experience with power generation on stationary engine systems is beneficial
- Fuel system overhaul experience is desirable
- Experience with gas engines and gas systems is also desirable
- Current C-class driverโs license
- High-Risk Work License is an advantage
