About the role

Are you an experienced Dispute Resolution Specialist with a proven technical background that has spanned IDR and EDR responsibilities across a diverse General Insurance portfolio.


The IDR component of the role involves management of disputes and complaints that are escalated internally from business areas within Zurich.The EDR component of this role involves managing disputes lodged with external schemes such as AFCA, OAIC and AHRC. Management of both IDR and EDR disputes require thorough case investigation and internal and external stakeholder management.


This role entails an advanced level of customer service and complaint resolution skills to resolve complaints, retain customer relationships, and reduce reputational and financial risk.

Important to your success

It is important for this role to have an intermediate to advanced level of skill in insurance claims and the associated legislative and regulatory frameworks that govern the industry.


  • Relevant tertiary degree
  • Three years insurance industry experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of complaint handling practices and procedures across Australian and New Zealand markets
  • Understanding and experience of identifying risk and designing mitigating actions
  • Proven strong customer focus.
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
