The Opportunity
This is your chance to contribute to changing the face of Woolworths Groups' Supply Chain as we implement a world-leading Warehouse Management System (“WMS”) within our distribution network.
We’ll help you develop a deep knowledge of the new WMS to become one of our specialists “Go To” people for the system. In return, your role will be to support the implementation of our new WMS at our various Distribution Centres (“DC”) across Australia and New Zealand.
Once we’ve got you up to speed, you’ll be responsible for:
- Travelling to our various DC’s across Australia and New Zealand to support the WMS solution implementations
- Helping us ensure a DC and their team are ready for "Going Live" with the new WMS at their site
- Facilitating User Acceptance Testing of the new functionality to help us ensure there is minimal impact to the DC’s operations
- Helping us develop "Super Users" at the various DC’s so that the sites can become self-sufficient in using the new WMS
- Training and continuously supporting the new users who will eventually own/use/run the system
- Help us ensure the system continues to run as intended by troubleshooting and resolving issues
You’ll need to be a team player with an ability to travel extensively across Australia and New Zealand, have an interest in developing your expertise within WMS as well as having a passion for helping people understand the system.
Who we’re looking for
Whilst we will support you in developing into the role, you will need to possess the following skills and experience, which when put into practice, will be key to success in this critical role:
- 3+ yrs experience within warehouse operations or systems
- 3+ yrs team leader, supervisor or subject matter expertise
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication
- An unrestricted capacity to travel
- Ability to understand technical issues and communicate the problems or solutions in a way that stakeholders without technical knowledge/expertise can interpret and understand
- High level of computer literacy including various mail, spreadsheet and document tools (e.g. Microsoft or Google Suite)
- Experience in achieving outcomes through indirect management
- Proven track record of pragmatic delivery and value creation
- Structured and methodical problem-solving skills
- Ability to re-engineer processes to deliver cost, quality and service improvements
- Proactive, “can do” mindset
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to work under pressure and SLA’s
- The ability to challenge the status quo
- Training delivery experience desirable but not mandatory
