The General Manager of Daunia Mine site has recently made the decision to implement autonomous haulage systems. As a result of this transformation, new roles to support autonomous haulage systems have been created. We are seeking Mine Control AHS Supervisors to lead the newly formed IROC Autonomous Control team.

About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent AHS Control, you will be responsible for leading and developing the team, which is responsible for the optimal operation of the autonomous haulage systems.
This is a pivotal role, which will support leading the AHS Control team for the integration of AHS for IROC and our autonomous sites.
The key activities of the role include:
- Positively shaping the culture of the team in alignment with the broader team and BHP’s Our Values;
- Motivate, manage engagement, coach and develop a high performing team;
- Establish strong relationships with site operations, support functions and broader IROC team;
- Ensure safety standards and controls are set, monitored and verified;
- Closely work with the training team to ensure training schedule is organised to create minimal disruption to the daily work whilst ensuring development of team members;
- Ensure compliance to Daily Mine Plan;
- Field leadership and hazard reporting;
- Ensure continuous training and skills development of the team members;
- Supporting or leading root cause analysis of events (safety, culture or production);
- Daily understanding of deviations to shift plan, causes and recovery plans;
- Understanding key risks to shift plan delivery and proactively mitigating risks;
- Attending and updating stakeholders at daily performance meetings between site and IROC;
The role initially will be a dayshift only roster, however once the project is fully operational, you will be required to work a continuous roster that includes dayshifts and nightshifts

The Supervisor Mine Control AHS roles are located on site. There are options to commute from Brisbane.
About you
We are seeking candidates who are excited about being part of a large technology transformation.
You will have proven track record as a front line team leader or be ready to take the step into a supervisor role after significant experience in plant control or operations. You have good and efficient influencing and relationship building skills, with a drive for performance. You would be skilled in an operational, processing, planning, or engineering environment. Experience in autonomy would be highly regarded.

You will complete Autonomous Haulage System training that will provide you with an understanding of the AHS and control procedures, which support autonomous operations to enable you to guide and support the AHS Control team.
