Your career at NAB is about more than money, it's about serving our customers well and helping our communities prosper. We currently have an opportunity for an Associate Director to join Group Tax and support management of NAB’s tax obligations.
Your responsibilities will include;
- Acting as an effective business partner to deliver strategic tax advice across the NAB Group with a focus on Australia’s international tax rules
- Working closely with representatives from NAB’s offshore businesses to share best practice and ensure compliance with Australian and foreign tax laws.
- Operating as a subject matter expert within Group Tax on Australia’s international tax rules and having a good working knowledge of the tax rules in the key overseas countries where NAB carries on business (Asia, NZ, UK and US)
- Being an advocate for NAB with key stakeholders in the tax system on international tax issues
What you will bring
- Tax technical experience – 10 years’ plus current specialist international tax experience working in the financial services tax team of a chartered accounting or law firm or a senior corporate group tax role with an international tax background
- Proven ability in adopting and maintaining a customer focus
- Experience in managing complex tax issues and working on large tax projects
- Demonstrated experience engaging with the ATO and other revenue authorities on tax and tax risk issues
- Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements and the ability to apply these in a business context
- Ability to conduct detailed analysis and effectively translate technical tax elements to business stakeholders
- Tertiary qualification in law and/or finance
- Masters of Tax or CA
