About the role
UGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance business has an opportunity for a Project Accountant to join the team based at our facility in Broadmeadow, Newcastle NSW.
The role of Project Accountant is to support the Transport & Technology business in providing information and advice to maximise Project Financial Performance. The position provides direct support to the Finance Manager and is responsible for the financial governance of Transport & Technology projects along with delivery of all reporting requirements.
- Provide project accounting support for the Transport & Technology business.
- Provide guidance and compliance with CIMIC & UGL EIS (Economic Information System).
- Contribute to the bid process and prepare/review relevant estimating models.
- Establishment of project budgets and reporting structures.
- Prepare monthly finance reports (including Risks & Opportunities, and Financial Commentary) for the relevant projects in accordance with CIMIC and EIS reporting.
- Prepare/review dashboard reports, assisting Project Managers to interpret information, making recommendation for adjustments and assisting in future planning/forecasting etc.
About you
- Bachelor Degree in either accounting or finance.
- CPA/CA/CFA designation.
- Strong PC skills including Excel (pivot tables), PowerPoint, SAP and other Microsoft Suite of Products.
- 3 years of relevant business finance or accounting experience.
- Significant experience in data analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
- Solid experience in information systems, dashboards and monitoring performance.
