Toyota are looking to recruit an experienced Digital Systems Specialist (Technical Lead) who will be primarily responsible for providing Digital Application and Platform (incl. Web & CRM) technical leadership and development in order to provide the business with integrated technology and information systems support and to enable TMCA to execute its strategy and achieve its objectives.
As the Senior Digital Systems Specialist, you'll be providing technical ownership, governance and development in a DevOps environment across the TMCA Sitecore, Azure DevOps and Tanzu platform ecosystem. You will have oversight of Toyota's entire tech-stack, governing the delivery and support of digital applications & platforms.
A major aspect of this role is managing our vendors & maintaining strong relationships with business units - an understanding of their partners, people, processes, and tools ensuring effective support for their applications whilst maintaining a robust platform, making sure built components deliver technical outcomes that speak to the functional intent of business requirements.
How you'll make an impact
- Implements and ensures that agreed Digital systems, processes and procedures are consistent with set policies in order to achieve and maintain best practice in terms of quality, long-term cost and re-use, while balancing technical excellence with business reality.
- Provides advice on and assists managers in the development of policies and standards for the Digital Applications & Platforms team in order to enable the effective implementation of business strategic objectives and to identify opportunities for new and innovative solution approaches.
- Ensures technical feasibility of solution designs, scope and timelines, ensuring alignment with the business' requirements and both digital reference and TMCA Architectural Principles.
- Technical ownership of TMCA's Digital Platforms - maintains code, configuration and integration end points within the technical platforms. Leads testing and automation standards/tools, establishing and maintaining a release process for deployments and optimises the application and platform to maximise capacity, availability and system performance. Leads engagement with the appropriate teams around security, architecture, integration and infrastructure activities impacting digital platforms.
- Coordinates and facilitates forums to ensure that Digital Applications & Platforms' plans, progress and issues are clearly communicated to all stakeholders and understood and documented in accordance with relevant business processes.
- Promotes and develops a culture of continuous innovation and mature DevOps capability, working with teams to implement activities leading to a stable, scalable, robust and resilient platform and applications.
- Monitors own tasks with respect to compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements in order to minimise Toyota's risk exposure and liabilities.
What we look for
- Degree qualification in IT or equivalent experience
- 5+ years' experience in a technical role on complex, customised relevant enterprise system & platform implementations
- Strong experience in digital platforms, preferably including Content Management Systems and CRM systems
- Demonstrated Digital Platform consumption management & financial management experience
- 2+ relevant system certifications in technical and functional disciplines
- Dell Boomi, Informatica and Microservices architecture experience desirable
- Sitecore, Tanzu, Azure, Azure DevOps, Salesforce, New Relic, Sumo-Logic and mobile application development experience is a strong advantage
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical teams and develop solid solutions to complex problems
- Experience with all phases of SDLC including industry-standard project methodologies as well as agile methodology
- Strong understanding of industry-standard web and mobile application platform technologies, monitoring and traffic analytics
