About the Role:
Enterprise Services (ES) is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.
What underpins the way we deliver operations and technology across Enterprise Services are the common processes, systems, technology and tools which together are the foundational elements for every application in the organisation to run off. GTS brings together the teams designing the processes and ways we work, with the teams running and managing the systems, technology and tools for our ops and tech teams. GTS is enabling velocity and managing risk in our delivery through a common and integrated approach. You will report to the Executive Manager Investment and Project Portfolio
Your Team:
You are an experienced Manager with a portfolio & governance and project management background. You will lead significant operational improvements within the Global Technology Services (GTS) to drive the planning, prioritisation and governance of program investments across run, risk, resilience, strategic initiatives, and productivity across the CTO. This role will also work closely with Architecture to run the Architecture Review Board governing changes to business processes, technology and data to ensure adherence to target state architecture across Enterprise Services.
Other responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage a small high performing team
- Lead engagement with the ES PMO and the Enterprise PMO. This will include informing and optimising investment decisions as well as driving planning, prioritisation, balancing, aligning and sequencing of investments in the GTS
- Lead the development of GTS project governance processes and identification and integration with the Group Delivery Framework requirements
- Lead demand/supply management across the GTS working with Platform owners to help drive balance and alignment, and identify/solve areas of contention through effective prioritisation
- Lead the analysis and reporting of GTS project funding and tracking
- Collaborate across the GTS performance function team to achieve combined objectives
- Ensure GTS projects are executed successfully including monitoring and assessing risk in change with appropriate Risk teams as well as driving adherence to project management standards and framework
- Set up and run appropriate governance forums for technology, architecture, process and data standards
- Coordinate and manage all investment activities across the GTS
Your skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in Portfolio management and Governance across multiple IT projects
- Strong experience in project management and delivery
- Team management skills with the ability to lead, inspire and influence people to deliver exceptional outcomes and to drive a high performance culture
- Experience in resource management and multiple senior stakeholder management
- Ability to interpret complex subjects and recommend simple choices with consequences
- Ability to work with high ambiguity, be able to draw conclusions and/or make recommendations with limited information
