What you'll contribute to
Toyota are looking to recruit a Senior Vehicle Delivery Quality Improvement (VDQI) & Fix It Right (FIR) Coordinator who will be primarily responsible for contributing to the implementation of our VDQI & FIR systems, processes and procedures in order to support the Dealer network to improve the quality of the VDQI and FIR outcome.
This role involves analysis of the current situation through data gathering from systems and on-site assessments, understanding the gaps to the ideal state and developing strategies to close the gaps and improvement of the key KPIs.
How you'll make an impact
- Implements and reviews agreed VDQI and FIR systems, processes and procedures consistent with set policies in order to achieve dealer delivery and repair process objectives.
- Provides advice on and assists managers in the development of VDQI and FIR policies and procedures in order to support ongoing improvement of the Dealer network in both of these areas.
- Develops and project manages VDQI and FIR kaizen initiatives at Dealer level in order to ensure appropriate prioritisation and successful completion of kaizen initiatives with respect to guest satisfaction of the quality of the dealer delivery and repair processes.
- Monitors and analyses performance against targets for own area. Coordinates the gathering, summary and analysis of information from all stake holders. Prepares and distributes and visualises critical information and reports in order to develop countermeasures and inform sound decision making.
- Coordinates and facilitates forums to ensure that VDQI and FIR plans, progress and issues are clearly communicated to all stakeholders with a view to ensuring that the team optimally partner with the business in planning and implementing VDQI and FIR improvement strategies.
- Updates and maintains reporting systems in order to provide the business with accurate and timely information to support planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Provides specialist support for the assessment and selection of suppliers in order to secure delivery of services at expected quality and at optimal cost. Contributes to ongoing supplier management
- Monitors own tasks with respect to compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements in order to minimise Toyota's risk exposure and liabilities
What we look for
- Degree qualification in logistics, business, commerce or equivalent experience
- 5+ years accumulative experience in service operations, logistics and sales related roles
- Experience working on quality improvement initiatives
- Ability to manage stakeholders and negotiate outcomes in a complex environment
- Strong understanding of the automotive industry and Dealer Network
- Strong understanding of the business and its commercial drivers
