As our Senior Associate, you will:
Report to the Director, Resources & Commodities, where you’ll be part of a team that provides administrative and credit support to the Client Coverage teams across all aspects of portfolio management and the client relationship. Further, you’ll have an opportunity to build on your existing credit/analytical skills and client relationship skills and play a key role in driving superior client outcomes and delivering world class client relationships.
Further responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
- Proactively manage risk (and subject to experience, credit decision files); maintaining an ongoing awareness of NAB’s credit policy, credit and market risk and internal risk appetite, as part of completing credit submissions in the Institutional Bank segment.
- Conduct research and analysis to develop industry/sector expertise and knowledge.
- Portfolio management including administration, product support, financial modelling, credit submissions and annual reviews.
- Ensure system data and information integrity is maintained to the highest standards for the portfolio.
- Workflow management between Client Coverage Team, CME, Product Partners and client support teams, to achieve seamless client experience.
- Monitor all facility documentation terms and conditions, including covenants, and manage the legal documentation process for the client relationship teams.
- Attend internal and external stakeholder meetings where appropriate to support business outcomes while managing portfolio risks.
- Provide coaching to junior staff including graduates or interns where required.
What you will bring
The successful applicant will have gained Corporate or Institutional Banking industry experience. You’ll be tertiary qualified in Finance, Business, Engineering or Law (or related discipline), possess strong financial analysis and credit writing skills, as well as a good understanding of financial markets, bank products and the legal and regulatory environment.
You will also be passionate about the natural resources industry, have exceptional inter-personal skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment and connect with clients and key internal stakeholders.
Being a proactive self-starter, you’ll need to have a passion for detail and work accuracy together with the capability to effectively manage conflicting priorities and competing stakeholder expectations.
