About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Trades Assistant supporting our Power business based at our Townsville depot. The role will require travel throughout the state and you will be working over a 9 day a fortnight.
Your responsibilities will include:
To support the construction and maintenance of electrical distribution networks-
- Assisting line workers
- Electrical Asset Inspection
- Digging pole holes and earth trenches
- General yard and depot duties
- Undertake maintenance and Asset inspections in accordance with Client/Company Policies, Quality Systems and HSE procedures as well as statutory requirements.
About you:
In this role you will support the electrical linesman in daily operations for construction as well as operations and maintenance work on electrical distribution networks throughout the state.
You will bring with you strong experience on construction sites and have the ability to recognise and solve problems in the workplace. Our teams operate efficiently in a fast paced environment so demonstrable experience working in a team environment is essential to be considered.
If you have electrical industry experience in particular it would be considered favourably but is not essential. You will be an Australian citizen or have current work rights within Australia.
You will hold a HR License, Forklift Ticket as well as a QLD Construction Card.
