Nickel West is a fully integrated mine-to-market business. Our culture is rich with technical know-how, highly efficient and focused on innovation. About the Role
We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership capability, and communication skills. Reporting to the Mining Services Superintendent, you will work closely with stakeholders to prioritise, plan and implement projects around the open pit mine, predominantly focusing on dewatering and infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop engineering solutions for dewatering and infrastructure projects
- Liaise with and manage stakeholder relationships
- Implement projects from definition through to execution
- Coordinate engineering and construction activities to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs and specifications
- Lead and support a strong safety culture
Preferred roster 5-2/4-3, flexible rosters can be accommodated – FIFO from Perth to Mt Keith Northern Operations sites.
About You
With upcoming developments planned, we are looking for someone with operational and technical experience in mining projects with the motivation to be exposed to dewatering and infrastructure projects.
Your success will be underpinned by the following desirable skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in either Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Dewatering and construction experience is advantageous
- Have a sound understanding of typical construction/mining specifications and practices
- Excellent stakeholder management experience
- C Class driver’s licence
- Working knowledge of Microstation or CAD based programs

Location
Nickel West Mt Keith is located 460 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in the Northern Goldfields. Nickel West Mt Keith is a surface mining operation with multiple open pits and a concentrator plant. The operation is surrounded by pastoral stations, with the nearest townships being Leinster and Wiluna. There’s plenty to keep you entertained in the Mt Keith Village. Take the heat off the day and head to the pool – or join in any number of social activities.
