The Analyst role is responsible for leading the analytical development and communication of the initiatives that support the strategic decision making of the Board of Directors, CEO & executive team.
You’ll be involved in driving the execution of our group strategy along with shaping how we respond to the rapidly changing competitive environment. You will be working on the most important topics facing the bank, such as identifying opportunities in the next generation of payments or building new business models in anticipation of disruptive trends.
You’ll be part of a high-performing team, led by a former top-tier consulting partner. You’ll receive a strong apprenticeship in strategic problem solving, work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to senior business leaders and have ample opportunities for career progression within NAB.
Responsibilities
- Deliver business analysis and financial modelling to support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives
- Communicate strategic recommendations, both written and verbally
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather insights and build relationships
- Contribute to the high-performance culture of the team
- Become a subject matter expert across the bank in specific market and customer trends
What you will bring
- 1-2 years’ experience in strategic thinking, gained either in a consulting firm, in-house with a large corporate or equivalent
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills, including quantitative modelling
- Structured communication skills, both written and verbal
- An innate curiosity to dig into the ‘why’, a positive, can-do attitude and a strong motivation for continuous learning and development
- A healthy interest in Financial Services
