Job Expectations
Reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager Customer Connections, the Senior Finance Manager is responsible for providing high quality commercial finance support to the Customer Connections team for Fixed Line Activations to enable the financial achievement of the long-term business plan for nbn.
This role will be pivotal in providing commercial leadership and support as nbn implements initiatives to improve end-user experience, and scale FTTC connection processes. This includes the requirement to provide transparent and timely analysis and influence commercial actions of the business.

Outlined below are the core duties that the Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for delivering:
- Business partner with General Managers across Customer Connections to understand their financial results of the Fixed Line Footprint, providing them with insightful, action-oriented analysis.
- Hold accountability for cost and ensure agreed actions are in place to drive continuous cost improvement initiatives.
- Be a key contributor and driver of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Align financial planning assumptions with operations plans and initiatives, setting a balanced plan and ensuring long-term financial targets are met.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as required to support business decisions and initiatives as well as development of InvestCo submissions for the Fixed Line footprint.
- Financial performance management of the OMMA (Operate and Maintain Master Agreements) contract.
- Contribute to technology agnostic scalable financial planning and performance analysis methodology.
A bit about you
The successful candidate will hold either a CA or CPA qualification and display a significant track record working in a Senior Finance role with financial and month end close experience, ideally gained within an enterprise organisation in rapid growth circumstances with major capital expenditure.
You will demonstrate an ability to analyse complex program issues and confidently provide credible, problem solving financial solutions, complemented by insights garnered from complex and diverse sets of data/information.
Furthermore, you will possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal whilst also being an adept stakeholder management; capable of effectively influencing at all levels and demonstrating the required gravitas to inspire others to perform highly.
