Reporting to the Materials Management Supervisor (WA), the Inventory Coordinator is accountable for maintaining the supply of inventory to WesTrac distribution stores and branches across Australia. Liaising with WesTrac suppliers (Local, National and International), along with arranging the purchase of inventory, following up orders and processing payment of supplier invoices.
In addition, the Inventory Coordinator is responsible for scheduling stock takes, weekly transaction reporting and warranty claims with Caterpillar.
This is a full-time position based at our WA head office in South Guildford.
To be successful the following is required:
- Two years plus experience working in an Inventory position preferably within Warehousing and/or Logistics departments
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with all internal departments, stakeholders and external vendors
- Demonstrated experience in purchase ordering and invoicing
- Demonstrated experience in ordering stock and overseeing stocktake
- Demonstrated experience in generation and upkeep of internal reports
- Demonstrated experience in warranty claims
- Ability to work autonomously and multi task
- DBS and SAP system knowledge or transferable skills to learn these systems quickly is preferred
