WooliesX Hub is based 2 minutes walk from Central station and walking distance from all the cafes and restaurants that Surry Hills has to offer. The brand new site has been designed to support flexible working with different spaces for different activities such as collaboration, brainstorming or just chilling out.At WooliesX, we also believe in flexible working, and our teams also have the option to work from home or our corporate head office in Bella Vista.
ROLE PURPOSE
Test Engineers work collaboratively with teams in developing a quality assistance culture, supporting the product development process by ensuring high-quality deliverables and enabling a satisfying customer experience.

Key Accountabilities
- Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to develop & adhere to strong Quality Practices and testing strategies
- Maintain a high-quality bar in a complex and constantly evolving workspace
- Be an advocate for your customers
- Engage business, technology, and other stakeholders to understand the value of Testing
- Support production deployment of applications and perform “Sanity” checks
- Contributing towards continuous improvement of the QA processes and practices
- Ability to create and define a test approach for any given context
- Ability to produce high-value test artifacts
- Participate in all relevant agile ceremonies
Technical skills
- Contribute to automated test creation, execution, and maintenance
- Strong programming skills (strong experience in at least one of the following: C#, JS, Java,...)
- Demonstrable experience in component, integration, and system testing
- Experience in the development and design of automation frameworks
- Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, DevOps, automation
- Experience in source control systems
- Exposure to microservice architectures and cloud computing services
People/process skills
- Ability document and disseminate domain knowledge towards your peers
- Good communication and presentation skills to stakeholders
- Good understanding of modern engineering practices and disciplines
- Ability to stay calm in challenging circumstances and work through problems methodically
- Detail-oriented mindset
- Good understanding of Agile & Lean delivery principles. Provide input to team processes
- Experience in test management tools and processes
