Key Account Manager – Orange, NSW

The role
Developing the relationship with strategically important Customers, the Key Account Manager is responsible for business growth by developing, maintaining and growing select key customer accounts through an effective relationship management process, matching the customers’ strategic requirements with value propositions from Sandvik. Travel to key customer locations will be necessary, state-wide and interstate, up to 50% of the time. The role is equal parts managing our relationship in order to grow our business and progress technology adoption with the customer, driving customer loyalty, and managing information flow to and from our internal stakeholders to align with the customer’s key business needs.
Key performance areas

- Create and manage a detailed Account Business Plan for each account, which sets out the future business growth of the account by collaboratively creating value with the customer.
- Develop relationships and communicate effectively within both internal and external organisations to deliver engagement across all levels to ensure that identified value is captured.
- Ensure that the value delivered by all the Sandvik offering is understood by the relevant customer stakeholders at all levels as it applies to them.
- Measure the performance of the customer account against the expectations of the plan and adjust wherever necessary through effective and decisive action.
- Demonstrate the progression of the customer relationship through engagement with and adoption of digital, sustainability and automation solutions.
Your profile
You will be a business professional, with a passion for technology adoption, a focus on customers, and a keen sense of identifying and delivering value to organisations. You will be achievement driven and have a track record of achieving those great results through teamwork and collaboration.
Your customer relations and communication skills will be your strength, and you will have a good ability to understand customer’s business and processes, along with business development experience with demonstrated growth results.
A high level of initiative, drive and determination to set ambitious financial and non-financial targets and achieve goals through exceptional levels of customer satisfaction is a key consideration in the selection for this position.
You may have experience and knowledge from within the mining industry, or alternatively you will be able to demonstrate that you have the passion and transferable experience and knowledge to make you successful in this role.
