Seeking a Health, Safety and Quality Advisor who can provide advice, training, consultation, monitoring and governance to support stakeholders.
Purpose of the role
- The SQE Advisor provides advice, training, consultation, monitoring and governance, to support stakeholders and ensure all relevant SQE legislation,
- Supporting and contributing to the continuous improvement and implementation of safety, quality and environment system strategies.
Key Requirements:
Mandatory Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in work health and safety (WHS), quality or related field
- ICAM or equivalent Incident Investigation Training Qualification, desirable
- Auditor Qualifications, desirable
- Experience leading SQE audits, desirable
Competencies
- At least 5 years working experience in Work Health and Safety and a demonstrable record of delivering improvement. Sound understanding of relevant legislation.
- Proven ability to understand, apply and communicate complex work health and safety processes and requirements.
- Knowledge of relevant SQE Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice
- Planning and organising skills
- High level of oral, interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment without close supervision and contribute to team success
- Highly proficient in the use of technology; Microsoft suite of products
Responsibilities and Authority:
- Coordinate and managing audit programme's required for the Company BMS
- Assist and participate in the development of the Group BMS
- Provide administrative and technical support
- Conduct or assist with hazard identification, risk analysis and assessments, to prioritise risk for management attention
- Conduct or assist with incident investigation (ICAM), make recommendations and produce reports to improve safety.
- Assist to in coordinating, managing and participate in audit programs required
- Analyse reported SQE data and assist in monthly reporting requirements, providing advice to line management.
- Assist with inspections and corrective actions and product reports in line with requirements.
- Conduct or assist with incident investigation (ICAM), make recommendations and produce reports to improve safety.
