You will play a crucial role in the NAB Group’s management of its legal, regulatory and reputational risks through; managing actual or potential litigation, advising on significant regulatory investigation and inquiries and partnering with the business, Risk and Corporate Affairs and other key stakeholders to manage significant reputational issues.
You will provide specialised advice in respect of NAB’s management of litigation, significant disputes and regulatory investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on and assisting with significant litigation matters
- Providing advice in relation to investigations and customer remediation activities
- Proactively identifying legal and reputational risks to the business
- Managing relationships with outsourced legal partners
What you will bring
- Experience in a similar position with expertise in regulatory investigations and dispute resolution
- Hold a current practicing certificate and be admitted to practice as a Barrister or Solicitor of the Supreme Court of VIC/NSW (or equivalent jurisdiction)
- Ability to build relationships, manage expectations/timelines and influence key stakeholders at executive and senior level
- Be practical, customer focused, autonomous and commercially astute with legal and reputational risk management skills
