The Role
In this role as the Head of Continuous Improvement, reporting to the GM of Process Transformation within National Operations, you will work end to end across our business, partnering with key stakeholders to define, socialise, and manage the roadmap of continuous improvement initiatives.
You will leverage data and technology to simplify the end to end processes for our teams and jointly deliver the supermarket transformation, improve efficiency and the customer and team experience across our stores.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with key stakeholders across Woolworths Supermarkets and the Group Ecosystem to jointly deliver on Supermarket transformation priorities in a range of areas
- Use technology and data to simplify processes including in-store manual team tasks
- Drive effective change management principles in the continuous improvement pipeline including engagement, assessment of business readiness and development of training, tools and support programs to land the change
- Maintain in store processes inline with the process schedule
- Seek to understand business challenges, pain points and duplication of effort through current processes and rectify through technology or simplification.
- Collaborate across the business to support delivery of initiatives that provide better experiences for teams and customers and deliver aspirational benefits
- Promote, develop and manage effective partnerships with key stakeholders in order to achieve continuous improvement
- Provide centralised, seamless, expert advice to stakeholders for proposed process changes
About You
You’ll have a naturally curious mindset, be innovative and have the ability to challenge the status quo to ensure purposeful and store led decision making.
You’ll also have:
- An ability to influence relationships and outcomes with a broad range of stakeholders
- Experience in a fast-paced matrixed organisation, navigating change and adapting quickly
- A results orientated approach to relentlessly uncover issues and collaborate with teams to find solutions
- Previous experience in a Process improvement role or change management
- A demonstrated track record of building and sustaining high performing teams
- An ability to think strategically and focus on higher level goals and perspectives; able to balance short term business imperatives with longer-term business direction and changes in the external environment
- Strong communication and influencing skills including formal presentation delivery skills, both written and verbal with senior stakeholders
- An understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and practices, such as Lean six sigma
- An ability to plan for the future of the business to support stores and teams.
