The Food Academy was established as an additional function to the Supermarket and is a great opportunity to work collaboratively with Group and Operations Managers and build your brand within our Supermarkets!
The Food Academy plays an extremely important part in creating structure and providing our team with the tools and materials which can be accessed at any time via the portal.
The Role
The role of a Food Academy Trainer will see you coach, train and mentor in-store team members and partner with Store Operations field teams to build capability in customer service, fresh food product knowledge and retail excellence.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Providing coaching, training and mentoring in customer service, fresh food and retail excellence with a focus on Service, ensuring improvements in success of the teams yo u coach
- Delivering classroom style training, workshops and 1:1, side by side coaching and mentoring
- Supporting teams to get departments ready for relaunch across all New, Renewal and Customer Retention dimensions
- Targeted and planned product knowledge development through Masterclasses, 1:1 coaching and individualised sessions
- Analysing Development opportunities, creating coaching plans and reporting on progress through set communication channels as directed
- Planning and prioritisation based on New Store, Renewal & Business Programs as usual priorities
- Providing support during the whole New, Renewal and Customer Retention period, through relaunch preparation, to post launch follow up
- Working collaboratively with team members and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives
- Travelling across a broad range of stores throughout NSW to provide coaching to in-store teams
Who we’re looking for
- Training and retail experience is essential
- You are able to demonstrate previous experience in a leadership role coaching, training and mentoring individuals
- You have a depth of experience and understanding of retail operations
- You understand and have a track record in establishing first class customer service
- You embrace Growth Mindset principles, possess strong initiative, communication and stakeholder management skills to build and foster positive relationships
- You prioritise and have great attention to detail in all you do
- You like people and get great pleasure out of leading others to success
- You’re a natural coach and mentor
- You are solutions based in your thought process
- There is a strong travel component for this role that may see you travel to stores across NSW and work some weekends depending on store needs.
