About the role
We seek to appoint an experienced and energetic FEED Project Manager to our Gas Networks team, based in North Sydney. In your new role, you will be accountable for the ownership of assigned projects from Project Mandate to Gate 2, following Jemena's Project Management Methodology (PMM). The FEED Project Manager facilitates the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) work to assist with the execution of a Financial Investment Decision (FID) at Gate 3. The Project Manager will typically have 6-8 projects, of various size and complexity to project manage, at any one time.
You will work closely with Asset Management, Strategy & Commercial and Gas Service groups to ensure assigned projects are technically feasible, scoped to the required standard ensuring constructability reviews and the impact to Jemena's network has been considered. The position works closely with project initiators within Asset Management and Strategy & Commercial at the commencement of projects and throughout the FEED stages, and with Gas Services in project execution.
Key Responsibilities include
- Ensure that the assigned project scopes are completed within agreed governance systems and processes to ensure that the projects are completed within the approved schedule and budget
- Consider all Regulatory, Statutory and Community requirements of proposed options for assigned projects
- Oversee engineering design early in an assigned project's life cycle to ensure robust planning processes in order to reduce variations and disruptions in the delivery phases of the project
- Understanding the technical, commercial, financial and risk factors of assigned projects and where necessary, work with key internal stakeholders to support the delivery strategies to maximise value
- Provide completed review and sign off for all allocated FEED's to ensure that the proposed scope is clearly defined and that the budget, schedule and delivery mechanism are achievable
About You
To set yourself up for success in Jemena, you arise from a similar role in a comparable industry. You hold relevant tertiary qualifications, coupled with or eligible for Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM). You're able to display an extensive track record in managing delivery of Engineering feasibility and conceptual designs for the Australian energy utilities/services provider and understand a contractor environment. You showcase the confidence, capability and prioritising skills to navigate competing demands of the various business groups. You are autonomous, thrive in diverse work environments and are able to effectively manage the often changing priorities. Finally, you couple a 'can do' attitude with a positive, friendly demeanour. These traits will ensure success in this critical role.
