About the role
BHP is currently seeking to connect with experienced Plumbing Tradespersons who want to join our world-class maintenance teams either now or in the near future. Having the right people working within our organisation focusing on our maintenance will allow us to unlock the value of our assets by ensuring that we have reliable equipment, predictable operations, and a safe work environment for our people.
Roles are currently available across several our sites (Iron Ore & Nickel). These roles are offered on different rosters across our sites:
- Fly-in-Fly-Out (2/1, 7/7, 8/6, FIFO (2 weeks on/4 weeks off job share))
- Residential options may also be available
In a BHP Plumbing position, you will be responsible for:
- Fixed Plant Infrastructure Maintenance, Breakdown maintenance and installation work of water systems, Plumbing componentry etc.
- Day-to-day inspections, fault analysis, preventative and breakdown maintenance on potable water, Raw water systems, Building Infrastructure, and associated equipment.
- NPI Maintenance and Water sectors provide Village maintenance services to WAIO Villages across the Pilbara
- Travel to diverse range of locations ranging to mine site operation to the town shire services
About you
You will believe in the value that maintenance can bring to an organisation. If you have worked in a mining or maintenance role in heavy industry, manufacturing, utilities (dewatering experience – desirable) or similar and believe that your maintenance future could be in mining with BHP then we might have a relevant opportunity for you if you hold the following:
- Australian Recognised Plumbing Trade
- WA Plumbers registration licence, backflow prevention licence and minimum 2 years mining experience
- Poly welding, Mining exposure (Desirable)
- Machinery experience and competent Tech level in 1SAP (Desirable)
- C Class Driver’s License (essential), Forklift License, HR, or HC Class License (desirable)
