A bit about your role

An exciting opportunity has opened with nbn to join the team as a Manager DevSecOps SharePoint reporting into the Senior Manager DevSecOps Data Services. You will be joining a large engineering team (500+ engineers), that is responsible for delivering and supporting IT changes related to in-house and commercial applications, following scaled agile and DevSecOps practices.

In the role of DevSecOps Lead, you will be accountable for delivery and operational performance of system(s) within a technology domain including system quality and lifecycle management and perform the technical lead role in the delivery, deployment and operational support of system(s) within an agile team. You will drive delivery to commitments and encourage DevSecOps practises. Utilising your technical expertise, you will also participate in delivery and/or operational support activities as part of the team.

In the role of People Manager, you will manage and evaluate individuals and ensure that the team has all the necessary skills and knowledge to execute the works program.

In the role of Scrum Master, you will perform a servant leadership role for the agile team to enable them to self-organize, self-manage and drive continuous improvement via effective Lean-Agile practices. You will also help team members communicate, coordinate and cooperate; thereby assisting the team in meeting their delivery goals.

A bit about you

The ideal candidate for this role is an individual who has a strong background in team and people management, DevSecOps and a deep technical knowledge in an area in IT delivery and/or operations aligned to the Technology Domain.

You are a technical leader with strong experience in Cloud (Azure), SharePoint and Migration technologies in complex environments previously such as nbn.

Furthermore, to be successful in this role, you will ideally meet the below criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant IT technical experience in the delivery and/or operations of software systems.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience performing formal people management in an IT environment.
  • Experience working in agile teams using Scrum or other agile practices.
  • Automation testing experience using Cucumber, Selenium, or other tools.
  • Experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP). Experience building RESTful web services/API using Dotnet/C#/ PNY and Powershell, and Swagger.
  • Exposure to development which require good source control standards, application design, and software validation.
