About the role:
The Portfolio, Distribution and Corporate Services team within C&IB is the central capital and portfolio manager for C&IB and works with Business and Private Banking and Treasury to deliver efficient capital and balance sheet outcomes for the Bank. The Capital & Distribution Solutions (CDS) team is responsible for the development and execution of structured portfolio transactions to third party investors, delivering efficient solutions for the Bank. As well the development of solutions and structures, investor engagement and client origination, transaction execution and overseeing ongoing transaction performance.
As the Associate you be been supporting our Associate Director/Director with the developing of capital solutions which add value to the Bank. This amazing opportunity will see you attending client meetings, being involved in the deal in its entirely, product development, running models and presenting at meetings were appropriate as well as assisting in the research. Your key accountabilities will include:
- Deliver on the C&IB and Corporate Finance plan and deliver on customer outcomes
- Develop capital solutions which add value to the Bank
- Build effective engagement and trust with internal and external stakeholders including third party investors and service providers to support origination of transactions
- Execute on projects and initiatives across C&IB and B&PB through to completion on time
- Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders
- Contribute to a team orientated environment that is enjoyable, challenging and rewarding
To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:
- Experience assisting complex structured deals
- Experience assisting in product development and solutions preferred
- Working with numerous stakeholders internally and externally
- Contributing to submissions and memoranda explaining complex deals
- Credit analysis and modelling experience in asset-backed transactions is preferred (using Excel)
- Ability to work effectively with multiple business stakeholders and investors
- Understanding of bank prudential capital and structured credit product
Your Capabilities, Experience & Qualifications will include:
- Bachelor’s degree at a recognised university in economics, finance, actuarial studies, accounting, law or engineering and/or post graduate degrees in similar disciplines
- Understanding of corporate finance, accounting, legal, regulatory, tax and credit analysis
- Experience in corporate finance / lending, capital markets, treasury, structured credit, investment banking or similar
