The Opportunity
As a Corporate Finance Senior Associate you will play a critical role in helping to quantify and develop value for our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the corporate valuation model, leading the optimisation of capital structure, supporting the growth of our business and supporting decision-making by the Board, Executive Leadership Team and securityholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Corporate Valuation Model – Owning and maintaining the long-term corporate valuation model, which is a key resource for our Board and securityholders
- Major projects and M&A activities – Leading the financial modelling and value accretion analysis for multi-billion dollar major projects including funding option assessment, credit metric analysis and bespoke scenario analysis
- Long-term business plan – Using the Corporate Valuation Model to build our long-term business plan and supporting budgeting, working closely with other Finance teams
- Capital structure analysis – Financial modelling and portfolio valuation for key accounting and credit processes
- Investor support and stakeholder management – Support securityholders’ annual valuation processes, scenario analysis and bespoke analysis with speed and accuracy
- Business support and guidance – Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project deadlines in tight timeframes
Skills & Experience
What we are looking for:
- Subject matter expertise in financial modelling, with proven experience in building and maintaining large-scale valuation models
- Demonstrated ability in corporate valuation, investment due diligence, business planning and infrastructure transactions
- A demonstrated track record of managing internal and external stakeholders, including Board and senior management and influencing senior stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with strong ability to complete tasks within required timeframes
- Ability to learn fast and adapt to a changing environment
- Attention to detail and team attitude
- Basic knowledge of regulatory frameworks and the energy, infrastructure or utilities sectors preferable
- Relevant academic qualifications in business, commerce or finance
- Member of CFA, CPA, CA Australia, Finsia highly desirable
