Due to exponential growth and an internal restructure, Westrac we have a number of new positions within our People Services team!
We are looking to recruit a self-motivated and passionate People and Culture Officer to join our team.
Reporting to the People Services Manager, this individual is responsible for providing accurate and timely generalist advice, support and consultancy, and transactional services to managers, team members and internal people and culture departments.
This individual provides support in all elements of the team member life cycle, including but limited to, policy guidance, Award interpretation, Enterprise Agreement guidance, recruitment and selection, learning and development, coaching and mentoring, administration, performance management, remuneration, Employee Relations and reporting. The role also provides day-to-day administration support the business across a range of People processes.
To be successful the following is required:
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, discretion, sound judgement, high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Solid experience working in a similar HR Officer or Generalist role with exposure to working with frontline operations
- Previous experience working in a Shared Services environment desirable with proven ability to show resilience when challenged
- Robust organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities
- Have an understanding of awards and have the ability to read and interpret employment law legislation
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, or relevant field, or actively undertaking HR studies – highly desirable
- Previous experience in SuccessFactors Employee Central and Performance and Goals – highly desirable
