We currently have an exciting opportunity for a talented End User Computing Technician to join the IT team within the Information Technology Division in a key permanent role. The End User Computing Technician will provide technical support for the Support Offices located in metropolitan Sydney.
Overview
- Providing a people facing support function for Woolworths Limited on behalf of IT
- Delivering excellent customer experience for internal employees across Support Offices
- Handle daily IT operations of the Tech Centres and Support Offices
The Opportunity
- Providing quality technical support services to all customers in a professional, responsive and effective manner for desktop computing hardware, software applications, mobility devices and numerous other technology solutions
- Performing customer service duties at State Tech Centres (where applicable)
- Gain assistance from or assign incidents and problems to appropriate support groups to ensure timely resolution
- Use the ServiceNOW application for problem and incident management during service restoration activities
- Patch IT equipment and maintaining structured cabling patch records (site specific)
- Provide onsite coordination and implementation with the installation of any new network infrastructure that is to be installed at Data Centre and Support Office sites, while ensuring that all changes are reflected in the Woolworths change management system.
- Provide local Infrastructure support
- Provide initial onsite analysis to problems with network infrastructure and ensure that these are referred onto Vendors or Support Teams in a in a timely manner
- Provide technical assistance to local business units with projects requiring IT involvement
- Implement and support Nationally developed IT policies, Standards and initiatives across all local IT systems and platforms
- Provide users with assistance to queries on office applications (Google Apps, Office 365, Genesys etc)
- Participate in out-of-hours support roster
- Provide coaching and mentoring for Technicians in team
- Manage facilities requests for building changes
Who we are looking for:
Our new team member will be driven and passionate, keen to get things done and able to make an impact in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for a team player with:
- IT Service Operations e.g ITIL
- Tertiary qualified or equivalent industry experience
- Strong customer focus and strong technical troubleshooting skills
- Proven experience in a similar support role and or/ relevant tertiary qualifications
- Operational or project delivery experience working with IT service providers and other stakeholders
- A collaborative style, able to work with and assist local, interstate teams and external support partners
- Experience with first level support of Infrastructure applications such as Active Directory and Azure AD
- Experience Google Mail and the Google suite of products (desirable).
- Innovative thinking and analysis that influences a more productive environment for our customers
- Ability to build and maintain relationships within all areas of the company
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- A High standard of verbal and written communications skills
