About the Role
The Ventia Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the assignment of a variety of maintenance and minor capital services to the operational team including HVAC-R, electrical, plumbing, painting, trade assistant, grounds and gardens and carpentry works.
The Maintenance Manager is the primary point of contact for the delivery of all scheduled and reactive maintenance services for the Anglo-American contract. The role will be based in Middlemount on a 10 day on/ 4 day off FIFO/DIDO roster.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage all operational aspects of Service Delivery for the Anglo American FM contract
- Coordinate and schedule all maintenance and operational resources using the Works Management System to ensure optimisation of labour
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on-time and within budget to meet the KPIs of the contract
- Establish regular communication with key Anglo American representatives to ensure customer satisfaction
- Provide support to sub-contractors including systems training to ensure consistent levels of service
- Manage a call-out roster for after-hours responses
- Analyse trends and identify areas of opportunities to improve operational issues
- Monitor and implement asset management activities to ensure all maintenance services are delivered in accordance with environmental, safety and legislatives requirements
- Manage maintenance activities in collaboration with the Ventia National Contact and Coordination Centre (N3C) to ensure attendance and rectification times are met and issues are resolved
- Establish regular stakeholder engagement meetings to ensure concerns are communicated quickly and managed in a timely manner
- Provide reporting on weekly job statistics
- Contribute to monthly Operations and Quarterly Hard FM report
Management
- Managing the work performance of self, team and subcontractors
- Identify resource and skill gaps and develop strategies to bridge gap
- Demonstrate personal behaviours that uphold Ventia values with a view to driving these values throughout the contract team
- Timesheets, payroll and leave management review and approvals
- Responsible for conducting daily prestart, weekly toolbox meetings as well as ensuring supervisors induct new team members, running through JSA, SLAMS, SWIs and SDSs
- Conduct Performance Management procedures in line with policy, including Records of Conversations (ROCs)
Safety, Health and Environment
- Compliance with all Ventia SHEQ policies and procedures
- Taking personal accountability for own safety and at all times being aware of the impact of actions on the safety of others
- Participating and contributing to the effectiveness of Ventia safety activities
- Immediately reporting any injury, incident or "near miss" encountered during work
- Assisting other employees in carrying out these responsibilities by support and example
- Fully Vaccinated against Covid-19 (Vaccination Certificate or Proof of Valid Medical Exemption will be required)
