The opportunity
Reporting to the Culture and Capability Manager, this position is designed to provide global strategic oversight of our end-to-end talent pipeline and the associated processes and governance. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Employee Value Proposition (The South32 Experience).
- Onboarding
- Career Entry Programs (bursaries, scholarships, vacation student and graduates)
- Talent Management & Succession Planning
- Workforce Planning
- Global Talent Acquisition strategy; and
- Offboarding.
In addition to setting the overall strategy and improvement roadmap for these related elements, this role will partner with a broad stakeholder group to drive adherence to the models and processes, report on progress, and drive continuous improvement.
Accountabilities
- Design and embed the Employee Value Proposition (The South32 Experience) across all elements of the end-to-end talent pipeline.
- Design a global Onboarding Procedure and govern as appropriate.
- Ongoing management and continuous improvement of the Career Entry Program, driving improved integration with the end-to-end talent pipeline.
- Ongoing management and continuous improvement of the annual Talent Management cycle and govern as appropriate.
- Establish a global Talent Acquisition Strategy covering regional Talent Acquisition Procedures and selection mechanisms (i.e., psychometric assessment panel), vendor management, governance routines, performance reporting, and system configuration.
- Design and embed a global Workforce Planning procedure and govern as appropriate; and
- Design and embed a global Offboarding Procedure and govern as appropriate.
About You
- Extensive experience working in a global organisation.
- Strong systems thinking capabilities
- Experience designing and embedding global practices across jurisdictions.
- Experience across different HR sub-disciplines e.g., Business Partnering, Learning & Development, Organisational Development.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Outcome focussed, results orientated with commitment to delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Ability to prioritise and manage competing stakeholder demands; and
- Highly developed change and project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience working at a mining/heavy industry would be an advantage.

- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline e.g., Human Resources, Business.

Location
This role will ideally be based at our corporate office in the heart of Perth CBD, alternative location arrangements within Australia may also be considered for the right candidate.
