About the Role
The work is exciting, action-packed, and varied. You’ll have exposure to multiple industries and companies of all sizes; this exposure will supercharge your career in engineering and product development consulting. You will be a valued member of project teams that have a mix of internal and client team members, contractors, and specialist development partners, so, you’ll be a key project contributor both inside and outside of the Business.
Working in close collaboration with hardware engineers to deliver holistic solutions, the role will offer support and training within a team that takes a systems-engineering approach to development and values best practice engineering. Direct engagement with clients, exposure to full product lifecycle development, and collaboration with other disciplines is commonplace. About You!
You will be successful in this role because you…
- Value communication and collaboration with diverse internal and external teams
- Have ~3+ years of professional experience developing software for a variety of microcontroller families
- Are proficient in Python and C OR C++
- Have a Bachelor of Engineering in Software or Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related discipline
The Following Skills are Favourable
- Experience working within a consulting or product development environment
- Experience integrating BLE and Wi-Fi stacks for IoT devices
- Knowledge of Agile tools and processes
- Understanding of software architecture and software design as it relates to the whole system

- A mix of work at home and at Exa's Abbotsford office
