Due to our ever-growing portfolio of national projects, we have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our dynamic Sydney based Transport Operations business and become part of our National Talent Community.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in driving continuous improvement in the recruitment function and contributes to the People & Culture strategic plan across the Transport Operations business.
OVERVIEW OF TRANSPORT OPERATIONS
UGL’S Transport Operations team covers 5 major public transport businesses in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney Adelaide and Auckland. We aspire to become a major provider of multimodal public transport services across the ANZ region.
Key capabilities\: UGL partners with world-class public transport operators in delivering safe, clean, reliable and efficient public transport systems to our customers. We combine our partners’ capabilities across disciplines such as scheduling, planning and customer service with UGL’s local knowledge, reputation, engineering know-how and whole of life asset management expertise. This expertise covers the full suite of transport assets from rolling stock and vehicles to systems and infrastructure.
What are we looking for in a Talent Acquisition Specialist?
- Minimum 5 years’ experience recruiting technical engineering positions, desirably within the Rail/Transport Industry
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders, engaging at all levels in partnership to ensure a streamlined and thorough recruitment process
- A strong understanding of the recruitment lifecycle, utilising all the tools you have at your fingertips, LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn Talent Insights, VideoMyJob
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with all walks of life at different levels both internally and externally.
