How do you feel about getting the opportunity to develop a product and manage it right through to production? As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be part of the Data and Analytics build-and-run team that plays an integral role in the design, development and operation of Transurban's advanced analytics capability at-scale. In this hands-on role, you will partner with internal stakeholders to deliver innovative products that use advanced modelling, simulation and optimisation techniques to solve business problems and bring value to our customers.
The impact you'll have
- Build, train, test, deploy and maintain machine learning solutions based on business requirements
- Keep abreast of developments in the field and apply new learnings and innovation opportunities
- Provide incident and problem resolution for the machine learning platform and seek to continuously improve the performance of the platform
- Work with the Data & Analytics function to ensure that the platform is providing the required data, functionality and performance
- Design and implement streaming and real-time capabilities
- Leverage cloud computing technologies and services (AWS) to deliver performant and cost-effective product
- Facilitate fast model development and reduce time-to-market
- Contribute to technical discussions and reviews as an expert
The talents you'll bring
- At least 5 years experience in software development and machine learning, with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Experience delivering outcomes in a complex corporate environment
- Strong implementation aptitude to translate objectives into a scalable advanced analytics solution to meet the needs of the end customer while meeting deadlines
- Experience working collaboratively with business stakeholders to design and operate enterprise-grade solutions that meet business needs
- AWS cloud engineering and Python programming experience
- Experience in software engineering principles, tools and best practices
