The Role

- Good understanding of Modern Cloud Architecture around Data and Analytics APIs available on GCP.
- To deploy Applications and Cloud frameworks to enable Data Infrastructure.
- To work with stakeholders to ensure capacity and other non-functional requirements are clearly understood in deploying frameworks.
- To deploy cost-effective, innovative technology frameworks and cloud services that support best practice for data infrastructure.
- Ensure that technological delivery meets approved architectural standards and industry best practices.
- Work with vendors to ensure the technical frameworks adhere to the vendors/architectural technical roadmap.
- Work closely with the Engineering Leads to ensure cloud based applications / services are delivered successfully
Key Responsibilities
- Setup Google Projects with Data and Analytics APIs to be consumed by end users as per Google Reference Architecture.
- Uplift deployments- Project APIs from legacy toolsets/versions, provide engineering capability to uplift deployments into Google DevOps for Data Infrastructure projects.
- Understand the Google Reference Architecture
- Perform security Administration on GCP Projects related to Data Infrastructure Projects.
- Perform necessary upgrades to APIs as need to remain within the Google supported Framework.
- Participate in process improvements and service optimization initiatives.
- Capture detailed documentation for all deployments/implementations.
- Deploy solutions that meet the system stability and supports operational excellence.
- Document all frameworks that are deployed in relation to the Data Infrastructure managed Google projects
- Efficient tracking and resolution of technical issues with customers and vendor
- Perform Platform Administration for GCP Projects related to Data Infrastructure.
- Perform Platform Administration for Tableau environments.
- Work closely with Engineering Leads to ensure risks, issues are communicated that could impact delivery and provide solutions to mitigate them.
- Participate in Environment reviews of Google Projects and apply recommendations provided by Google.
- Ensure knowledge transfer is delivered for ongoing 2nd level and 3rd level support of developed components to reduce the impact of application defects and associated incidents and problems.

Career Experience
- IT related experience to the equivalent of 3+ year’s experience.
- Experience in using Cloud environments for Data and Analytics products on Google Cloud Platform.
- A strong track record in data infrastructure design and experience in IT operations within large organisations.
- Demonstrated experience in working with complex platforms with multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Has a thorough understanding of the DEVOPS Product Life Cycle.
- Good understanding of IT processes, within a retail environment.
- Designs include the provision of technical alternatives.
- Keep well abreast of industry trends and directions to ensure solutions will provide business with forward compatible, scalable and flexible solutions.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and/or degree qualified
- Technical application knowledge gained at leading vendors and/or general market.
- Experience with Data Infrastructure & Data Warehouse Systems essential
