The Opportunity
We are seeking two Production Technicians to join our dynamic team in our Downstream Vaccine Processing function at the Parkville (Australia) site. The roles are full-time permanent positions and the role focus is to participate in the production of Vaccines in accordance with aseptic process specifications, GMP and QMS Standards.
You will be required to work shift work – 3 shifts on fortnightly rotation, with varied start/end times. Overtime, weekend and public holiday work may be required. These shifts will vary according to the business requirements. Availability for shift work is an inherent requirement for the role.
The successful candidate will also be required to undertake vaccination against the influenza virus.
The Role
Reporting to the Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
- Equipment preparation for sterile manufacturing
- Tasks include automated and manual washing equipment, integrity testing of filters and using autoclaves to sterilise equipment in the production areas.
- Work involving aseptic processing techniques which requires accurate documentation annotation using Batch Process Sheets and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures
- Performing calculations, verifying critical process parameters
- Submit test samples to Quality Control (QC) in accordance to QC protocols
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in science/engineering or related discipline highly regarded (minimum of VCE qualifications)
- Experience in a Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing environment. Aseptic processing well regarded
- Knowledge of cGMP regulations and Quality Management Systems
- Clear, legible hand writing is essential for real time documentation completion
- Good communication and proactive attitude
- Ability to maintain attention to detail with minimal errors
- Strong problem-solving skills, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Flexible and adaptable to change and collaborative team player
- MS Office skills required, and SAP knowledge well regarded
