Head of People Technology

As part of the broader Technology team, the Corporate Systems, Liquor & Emerging Businesses portfolio are responsible for the development and support of applications across multiple enterprise platforms including Finance, Procurement, People & Culture, Risk, Safety and Legal.
You will be required to lead the evolution People applications, accountable for technology strategy, transformation, and operations. The portfolio is responsible for all applications relating to Human Capital Management including (but not limited to) Payroll, Clocking and Team member management.
Key aspects of the role include executive / senior business engagement, sponsoring large scale program delivery, critical application support, team engagement and people initiatives (e.g. gender equity, diversity, inclusion, disability).
You will be required to translate multiple business strategies into a Technology roadmap and deliverables which is aligned with business strategic direction.
You will have overall accountability of the People Technology platform’s performance, including supporting growth, innovation and transformation - which also includes attracting, developing and retaining talented team members
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ability to drive an ongoing focus on continuous improvement and evolution of the People Systems engineering processes and systems
- Experience delivering transformative programmes of work in Finance, Human Resources, or Procurement preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in software engineering preferred
- Understanding of industry trends in software engineering and broader software architecture
- Experience with building and deploying solutions leveraging Cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS and/or Google)
- Requirement definition and stakeholder management skills
- Present analysis of data with exceptional clarity and focus on key business and customer outcomes
- Experience managing department and project budgets
- Negotiating with third party suppliers, including development of critical partnerships and joint ventures
- Engagement with a broad cross section of business units
Good things you’ll need
- Extensive technology experience working across Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll and clocking systems.
- Experience in delivering digital solutions
- Proven track record in developing technology strategies, together with delivery and execution for Human Capital Management services at a minimum
- Demonstrated ability to effect change in both small and large-scale change programs
- Demonstrated ability to manage process and technology outsourcing services
- Proven track record in building high-performing teams and managing technology systems for business-critical functions.
- Knowledge and experience of digital technologies and their application across team member experiences.
- Demonstrated autonomy and ‘self-starting’ style
- Vendor management experience essential.
