THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting into the EGM Energy Markets, Technology & Commercial, the Head of Procurement is key strategic role within CS Energy, providing functional leadership, tactical and operational support to the business including the asset portfolio’s site-based teams.
This role will see you accountable for strategic partnering, delivering value for money outcomes through the simplification of procurement systems and processes, identification and reduction of contract risks, governance and oversight of contract management and the development of successful relationships with suppliers and the business. You will also have a solid understanding of inventory optimisation strategies to manage inventory in a heavy industry.
Due to the scope of this role, we are looking for a commercially minded senior leader who is comfortable influencing and managing stakeholder expectations to deliver best-outcome solutions for the business.
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will demonstrate a proven track-record of success leading and improving a sizeable procurement team based across multiple sites. Your capability to add value to the procurement fundamentals will be second-to-none, to inspire and develop your teams working across strategic sourcing and contract management.
In addition, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Information Technology)
- Significant experience in a strategic senior procurement role with in-depth working knowledge of processes and tools utlised within a complex and matrixed environment
- Extensive experience in the development of procurement and contract management strategies and delivery within a heavy engineering industry sector
- Contemporary working knowledge of relevant legislative requirements, standards and practices and BCIPA regulations
- Previous experience in inventory management including optimisation strategies
- Leading and coaching multi-disciplinary teams to achieve business outcome
- Extensive exposure to computerised systems and continuous improvement processes
- Proven stakeholder management skills.
