How can you inspire innovation at Nuseed?
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead the Southern VIC/SA team based in Horsham, VIC. This role will see you working closely with Nuseed growers with a focus on production of quality seed supply.
What will you be doing?
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with growers and industry contacts.
- Seed production activities and working closely with growers to develop planting rations, planting splits, insect and weed control, pollination, rouging and maintaining genetic purity.
- Production planning in conjunction with Snr Management to meet production targets.
- Keeping field notes, preparing reports and audits to ensure key information and communication is shared and addressed in a timely manner.
- Following all appropriate safety, quality, and operating guidelines.
What do you bring?
You’re an experienced OP and/or hybrid seed production manager with a keen eye for detail, you enjoy variety and working on farm while advising and establishing strong grower relationships. You bring a broad knowledge and experience of the Agricultural industry and are curious to continue to learn and develop your skills.
You will lead a small team so prior management skills would be preferred however we will invest in developing these skills if it’s the next step in your career.
The ability to travel is required with this role and a company motor vehicle is provided.
A Medium Rigid (MR) truck licence and forklift licence (LF) is a bonus but not necessary, arrangements for these tickets can be accommodated for the right candidate.
