As part of the Device Experience organization, the Data Solutions and insights team are responsible for using data to identify actionable insights to improve the overall employee experience.
What You'll Do
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team and help us in our mission to deliver an extraordinary device experience for our employees. We use data to prevent problems, unmask hidden value, accelerate decisions, and drive overall employee device experience improvements.
You will work with a wide range of datasets centred around laptop and mobile devices and collaborate with various teams including, Security, Windows & Mac, PC Asset Management, and more.
Perform root-cause analysis and data discovery to surface what matters most.
Develop performance metrics/KPI’s, reports and dashboards/visualizations that highlight relevant trends, patterns and areas of importance.
Derive a data story or narrative behind the numbers and interpret trends/patterns.
Work with various Workforce Experience teams to understand their business needs and develop data insights that meet those needs.
Work with our data engineering team to identify and capture new datasets.
Help the team in meeting ad-hoc reporting requests.
Eventually become a reliable data expert/specialist for a particular business area.
Work within a global team, cutting across Australia, UK, and US.
Who You'll Work With
The Workforce Experience team is responsible for all end-to-end processes and systems that support our workforce from Collaboration, Video Streaming, Events, Employee Productivity Emblement and Service Desk. Working closely with our partners, this team will take the employee experience for all of Cisco to outstanding levels - and show our customers and partners what is possible!
Who You Are
You will be a tenacious problem-solver with a strong attention to detail and revel in translating raw data into meaningful insights.
You will have outstanding communication and presentation skills with a good balance of business and technical skills.
You will also pride yourself in being accountable for producing accurate and reliable statistics.
We don’t expect you to be able to tick every box. We prioritize culture and values fit above everything.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor or master’s in Information Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a relevant degree.
Experience working in a Scrum Agile environment.
3+ year’s experience of working in this space.
Technical Skills:
Intermediate SQL skills/experience.
Intermediate Power BI skills/experience (including DAX).
Ability to wrangle data to reduce data refresh times and produce desired outputs.
Some understanding of the principles of data visualisation and what makes a “good” dashboard.
Experience using Python advantageous, but not essential.
Interpersonal skills:
Proactive communicator within a team and toward stakeholders/customers.
Proven ability to be resourceful in learning new processes, systems, and programming languages.
Able to clearly summarise complex analytical results (or similar) to a non-technical audience.
Highly organised and able to work on multiple projects at the same time, while keeping to deadlines.
Collaborative and open style with a constructive and positive outlook.
Able to tell compelling stories with data.
