About the role
We are seeking highly motivated people to join our Innovation and Ventures (I&V) team, part of the Monitor Deloitte family. We are entrepreneurs & innovators first, consultants second.
This role is all about solving complex problems in the second and third horizons of innovation. You’ll be working in a multi-disciplinary team alongside experienced strategists, product managers, strategic designers, growth marketers, engineers & developers. There are daily opportunities to learn and grow from experienced entrepreneurs, and help unlock the growth potential of some of Australia’s largest organisations.
We’re looking for a full-time team member who is excited about joining Australia’s largest and, rumour has it, fastest growing Innovation and Ventures consultancy.

Responsibilities
- Innovation strategy and portfolio development. Work with senior stakeholders to shape an organisations innovation strategy and pursue a range of innovation investments.
- Innovation program design, development and deployment. Leverage accelerators (both internal and external) to propel technology commercialisation or to drive ideation on solutions to meet emerging behaviours and needs.
- Innovation capability strategy and uplift. Identify an organisation’s maturity baselines, aspirations and strategic priorities. Build initiatives to close gaps, uplifting overall innovation capability.
- Venture design & build. Create a path to scale for new and emerging tech-led ventures, identifying most promising market segments, service ecosystems and narratives that can create compounding growth loops.
What Skills and Capabilities are we looking for?
- Comfortable with ambiguity. Experience leading teams in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up environment OR with a top tier/boutique strategy consulting firm
- Future setting. A demonstrated ability to engage with senior internal and external stakeholders, help them to influence decisions, and drive new opportunities.
- Co-creation. An ability to communicate ideas, strategies, and concepts with clarity and persuasion
- Turning a vision into dollars. Experience in strategy development, business planning and future visioning, as well as quantitative and commercial modelling
- Translating strategy into deployment. Ability to set the vision and early design parameters for new products and services. An understanding of innovation ecosystems and the entrepreneurial community.
- Managing greatness. Skilled at rapidly learning new ways of working, and managing a junior team through ambiguous beginnings to meaningful output.
