- Provide leadership for the automation team at Operational Sites and Non-Process Infrastructure locations in respect to safe systems of work whilst ensuring all on-site work adheres to operational requirements such as management and risk assessments.
- Lead one or many project teams delivering automation projects with a coal mining focus and act as single point of contact for those assigned projects in delivery.
- Define the value proposition for the investment and define and measure the key value drivers to ensure project is value accretive.
- Develop and/or identify cost effective, operable, maintainable and supportable automation solutions that address business problems and integrate with other existing/future business systems
- Support the Implementation of innovation into autonomy fully aligned with the Technology roadmap maximising key business drivers at each asset.
- You will have a proven track record of successful leadership and possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Mining sector is highly desirable and you will be familiar with systems engineering principles and test and evaluation methodology.
- You will also be a flexible, resourceful and collaborative problem-solver. You will be able to use your relationship building and negotiation skills in order to effectively deal with complexity and distil key issues. Previous in a large scale automation environments using a variety of control systems will place you high regard.
- A relevant tertiary degree (Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline) is essential.
- Further postgraduate qualifications would be well regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in Engineering or Technology roles. Industry experience in mining, oil & gas, utilities or manufacturing is desirable.
- Experience in technology development, risk quantification, implementation and lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to build strategic external relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of business.
