WORK180 Community Guidelines

We want every WORK180 event to be a welcoming, respectful, and safe space for everyone. All speakers and participants are asked to review, agree to, and follow the WORK180 community guidelines to help us create a positive experience for all attendees.

Purpose

WORK180 events are designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and respectful spaces where members of the WORK180 community can connect, learn, and share.

We bring together Endorsed Employers, partners, speakers, and community members who are committed to building workplaces that work for everyone.  

All participants are required to follow these guidelines.

The WORK180 events team will uphold and enforce this code throughout all events. We ask everyone attending to help create a safe, positive, and supportive environment for the entire community.

Unacceptable behaviour

Harassment or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Offensive or discriminatory comments related to gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or other personal characteristics
  • Sexual language or imagery in event spaces
  • Intimidation, stalking, or following
  • Harassing photography or recording
  • Sustained disruption of talks, presentations, or activities
  • Inappropriate physical contact
  • Unwelcome sexual attention

Consequences

If a participant engages in behaviour that violates these guidelines, the WORK180 events team may take appropriate action. This may include issuing a warning or removing the participant from the event.

Reporting concerns

If you experience or witness behaviour that concerns you at a WORK180 event (online or in person), please notify a member of the WORK180 events team as soon as possible. 

For online events, this may include messaging the host or moderator via chat; for in-person events, speaking directly with event staff. We will respond promptly. Our priority is to support those affected and ensure a safe, respectful experience for everyone.
