The Manager, Digital App Optimisation is responsible for maintaining and optimising the digital application journey of Consumer, SBS & Corporate customers for both Australia & New Zealand markets.

Reporting to the Director, Acquisition, Australia and New Zealand, this role will suit someone who enjoys a diverse, fast-paced team, focused on building the future of American Express by driving results. The successful candidate will bring a strong customer first mindset with proven experience delivering digital innovation, to continue our advancement in and focus on digital capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively drive optimisation initiatives and performance metrics to drive efficient acquisition growth at the point of application
  • Lead long term strategic projects and on-boarding capability enhancements in collaboration with key stakeholders across technologies, product, credit risk and servicing teams
  • Proactively manage third party vendor relationships designed to improve the on-boarding process
  • Develop, forecast and prioritise conversion rate optimisation initiative roadmaps for the eApplication experience in partnership with key stakeholders to drive Acquisition KPIs
  • Implement the Acquisition offer strategy to enable limited time offers and product refreshes
  • Drive the digital end to end and paper-off strategy for applications across A/NZ
  • Maintain market awareness of both competitors and technological advances to analyze, plan and develop future strategic plans for acquisition.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Seasoned marketing professional with extensive direct marketing and digital experience
  • Drives results through strong people leadership and general management, with a proven ability to inspire and engage
  • Creates solutions to complex issues and implements strategies/approaches to drive business growth
  • Creative thinker who is able to communicate new ideas, and convince others to support strategies and tactics
  • Ability to drive results and innovation in a fast-paced, constantly changing, and complex environment
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships with strong influencing skills
  • Superior analytical, creative and problem solving skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Dynamic, positive and energetic attitude and work ethic
  • Extensive knowledge of American Express Cards products, services and benefits, and/or understanding of the Financial Services Industry
