The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior E&I Engineer to join a great team at the APA Networks team in Eagle Farm QLD or Kidman Park SA or Thomastown VIC, for a fixed term, 12 months contract.
Reporting to the Team Lead, you will contribute to the project delivery and senior engineering support in the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) discipline for Networks, complying with all engineering methods, standards and APA policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering design documentation for concept, front end and detailed design stages of assigned projects
- Provide detailed electrical and instrumentation engineering design for Gas Distribution Networks and Pipelines Assets in accordance with appropriate Australian and International Standards, statutory requirements, codes of practice and APA Group standards
- Review and approve design calculations, datasheets, reports, documentation and drawings prepared by Engineers
- Competent on Hazardous Area Classification and design
- Provide input, as required to continuously improve relevant engineering standards, policies and procedures relating to engineering
- Manage the work priorities in a multidisciplinary environment, whilst ensuring standards across all projects and operations.
Your background
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (i.e. Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent) and Institution of Engineers, Australia membership
- Strong experience in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of gas transmission, gas processing, LNG, chemical process power generation, utilities, or associated industries
- Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements, Australian and international, as well as Environmental and Health and Safety legislative expertise
